The Starfleet Judge Advocate General. My plan for a special project for The Hero of Three Faces for over the summer hiatus 2016 was to adapt a prose story from my first fanfiction site into a series of comic strips to be the fall 2016 season premiere. The story I chose was the story of mine which got the most discussion in comments on its Usenet posting of all my Usenet-era stories. But it was a courtroom drama and, though I love courtroom dramas, my hindbrain apparently didn't think so much talking heads would be fun to draw, because as soon as I passed the introductory scenes my enthusiasm dried up. This strip is an abridgement of the first few scenes I did draw. What the hell: if you're interested, those first few scenes can be read here. I still may one day do a full adaptation of one of my Usenet stories as a Three Faces summer project, and if it works once I may do it more'n once, but it'll never be this story. EDIT As of the premiere of Star Trek: Picard I'm reconsidering that stance because the issue of synths rights has suddenly become very topical. EDIT EDIT Six months later it's done.
